About Acuven

Built by Med Spa Insiders Who Wanted a Straight Answer

Acuven measures how your med spa appears in AI tools like ChatGPT and Google's AI, how you compare with your competitors, and what to fix to show up more often.

Why We Built Acuven

We started where you are: a med spa owner trying to get a straight answer about AI search. For the last few years every marketing agency that called had the same message: AI search matters, and it matters more every month. The proposal that followed was always a monthly retainer. When we asked for proof, we got high level summaries with no real answers, often a report bought from a third party and passed along.

So we went looking for a report ourselves. The free checks were thin, gave us nothing to act on, and mostly put us on a sales list. The few reports for sale cost as much as a consulting project or came tied to a monthly contract. Every option was built to pull us into a sales funnel, not to answer our question.

Much of the pitch ran on fear. We were told again and again that a practice has to post on Reddit and other forums to appear in AI answers. When we measured real AI answers to med spa questions, the evidence did not support it.

We wanted a clear answer at a price a single practice can justify, but with the sophistication to meet the needs of a national multi-location brand. No strings, commitments or subscriptions attached. Nobody sold that, so we built it. That report is Acuven.

What the Measurements Showed

When Acuven asked the AI tools real med spa questions, the most cited sources were directory and review sites, Google's own pages, social profiles and booking sites. Reddit was not the leading source for any of the five tools. Part 3 of AEO Explained shows the figures for each tool. Promotional posting in forums also raises its own compliance questions for a medical practice.

A Report with No Strings Attached

Acuven sells one thing, the report. There is no retainer, no agency to hire and no upsell waiting at the end. The report is written so an owner can read it without a marketing background, and it is detailed enough to hand to an agency as a brief. Owners use it in three ways.

  • To decide whether hiring an agency is worth it at all.
  • To check the work of an agency they already pay.
  • To find out whether things are as bad as the last sales pitch suggested.

Sometimes the honest answer is that a practice is in reasonable shape and needs only a few fixes. That is a finding too, and the report says so plainly.

What the Acuven Report Includes

  • Visibility by AI Search Engine: how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode each recommend you, name you in passing or cite your site.
  • Source Ranking: every website the AI tools pulled their answers from, ranked by how often each was cited, so you know exactly where to focus.
  • Competitor Ranking: the businesses the AI Search Engines recommend when a patient searches for a med spa, and how those businesses compare to you.
  • Recognition Check: whether each tool can identify your practice by name and by name plus location, and how it describes you.
  • Website Audit: which of your pages each AI crawler can reach and read, and how your site compares with your most cited competitors.
  • Directories and Reviews: the listings the AI Search Engines quote most and whether you're on each, plus your review count against competitors in each market.
  • Multi-Market and Location Analysis: every location in a unique market receives a full analysis against its own unique set of competitors.
  • Recommended Changes: a robust list of fixes that you or your marketing agency can make to increase your visibility.
